An intimate, four-hour creative experience exploring how entering a true flow state transforms both art and energy.

Inspired by the philosophy of The Creative Act by Rick Rubin, this workshop invites you to step out of effort, expectation, and outcome and into receptivity, presence, and creative listening. Rather than “trying” to make art, we explore what happens when we allow the work to move through us.

Participants will begin with a before aura portrait, capturing their energetic state upon arrival. From there, we’ll move through creative exercises centered around playful intuitive painting, gestural mark making, and experimenting with various mediums. This journey is designed to quiet the inner critic and open the creative channel. Embrace your inner child, and let go, and invite in the magic.

Following the creative process, participants will receive an after aura portrait, offering a rare and tangible reflection of how creative flow can shift the energetic body. We’ll close with gentle integration, reflection, and optional group sharing.

No painting experience is required- only curiosity and a willingness to explore.

By the end of The Flow Portal, participants will leave with:

A felt understanding of what creative flow actually feels like in their body and energy
Tools for quieting the inner critic and releasing outcome-based creation
A deeper trust in intuition as a creative guide
Insight into how creativity directly influences the energetic field
A renewed sense of permission, play, and creative openness

These practices are not meant to stay in the studio- they’re tools you can return to in your own creative life, whenever you feel stuck, blocked, or disconnected. This workshop will give you the inspiration you crave to carry on your own creative art practice.

What to Expect:

The Flow Portal unfolds slowly and intentionally, allowing space for nervous system regulation, creative exploration, and energetic integration.

Arrival & Before Aura Portrait
We begin by capturing your energetic state upon arrival through an individual aura portrait.
Opening & Orientation
A brief introduction to the philosophy behind the workshop, inspired by The Creative Act by Rick Rubin, plus short peer intros.
Guided Meditation
A brief yet powerful grounding practice to settle the body, quiet the mind, and prepare the nervous system for creative flow.
Creative Prompts & Technique Exploration
Gentle painting prompts, intuitive techniques, and select quotes from The Creative Act are offered as invitations to help open the creative channel.
Extended Painting Time
Spacious, uninterrupted time to work intuitively, allowing the painting to unfold naturally.
Nourishment & Pause
Adaptogenic NA bevs and light snacks will be offered during our break.
Open Play & Material Exploration
Additional free time to experiment, layer, and follow curiosity without pressure.
Journaling & Reflection
Optional written prompts to help articulate sensations, insights, and energetic shifts experienced during the process.
After Aura Portraits & Individual Readings
Each participant receives an after aura portrait and a brief individual reading, offering reflection on how creative flow influenced their energy.
Closing & Integration
Gentle goodbyes and optional sharing, allowing the experience to feel complete and contained.

This workshop will be roughly four hours.

Studio Setup & Accessibility Note

Participants should feel comfortable working at floor level and moving their body throughout the creative process. If you have questions about accessibility or need additional support, you’re always welcome to reach out before booking.

Due to limited table space in the studio, most participants will be working on the floor during this workshop. Floor cushions will be provided, and the painting process involves moving on and off the ground.
